He is currently taking medication for his condition. After the stroke, he experienced nausea and chest discomfort. Although he underwent cardiac tests, all the results came back normal. The cause of his chest discomfort and burning sensation is unclear at this point. I would like to know what may be the causes and whats the next step to take.

But considering his past medical history of ischemic stroke and age, a cardiac cause must be excluded. I suggest a cardiologist referral for further evaluation and treatment.
