Male | 41
After 4 months of Achilles tendon surgery, you can return to physical activities only with the consent of your orthopedic surgeon. You might have to begin with mild exercises and slowly intensify your exercise. Wear appropriate shoes, and always warm up before the exercise. I am a 50 year old diabetic with rheumatoid arthritis. I have had a numb feeling that also feels like a cramp causing severe pain down my right side, starting at the base of my spine, down the back of my right leg, all the way down to my foot. Help please.
Female | 50
Your symptoms are quite similar to those of sciatica. Sciatica pains are a form of irritation of the sciatic nerve, which is often responsible for the feeling. Physical therapy or even surgery may be necessary. It's important to consult a specialist, like a rheumatologist or orthopedic doctor, for proper diagnosis and treatment guidance tailored to your condition.

Female | 25
If you feel that your lower back and the area between your legs are getting numbed then you might also experience tingling feelings around your back. This may be due to an intermission with the nerves along your spine. To relieve this, ensure you maintain a good posture, avoid lifting heavy objects, and include light workouts to strengthen your muscles. Should these signs persist, consult an orthopedist immediately.

Male | 27
Acupuncture points help in rehabilitation of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) . Using the local and distal points in acupuncture, it helps in repair of ligaments and reduces the rehabilitation time.
Acupuncture combined with seed and magnet therapy, moxibustion have miraculously helped in treating ACL tear naturally I.e without surgery.
One can lead a normal life once a patient is pain free.
The treatment time depends on the severity of the patient but nonetheless 12- 15 sessions will be required which will help reduce the pain and repair the ligament. Further course of treatment can be advised post the knee scan.

4th PP base fracture and 5th MC dislocation L hand
Male | 22
You likely experienced a fracture in your 4th finger and dislocation of the 5th. Breaks and joint misalignments can occur due to accidents or falls. Pain, swelling, restricted movement: these symptoms indicate potential issues. Treatment often involves splints or casts to immobilize affected areas during healing. Though concerning initially, proper care should facilitate full recovery over time.

I am a 20 year old male. I have observed that the growth of my arm bone(both the hands) stopped in teen years which resulted in unusually thin arms. What should I do?
Male | 20
You have skinny arms due to delayed bone growth. This can be caused by factors like genetics, poor diet, or hormones. It's important to see your doctor; they can evaluate your condition and recommend treatment. In the meantime, focus on foods rich in calcium and vitamin D, as these help strengthen bones. Also, working out and lifting weights can build muscle and strengthen your arms. However, your orthopedist’s advice will be the most helpful, so ensure to follow it.
