Why hasn't my period started after 24 days of brown discharge and negative pregnancy test post 6 months of regular periods with PCOD medication?

Patient's Query

6 months Tak pcod ki dawai chalu thi to prioud reguler aaye jaise hi dawai khatam Hui to date 6 days pehle 3 din tak brown discharge aaya aur AJ us brown discharge ko bhi 24 days hogya abi prioud ni aaye aur pregnancy test bhi negetive aaya h

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

It is important to notice that PCOD can cause irregular bleeding and brown rather than red discharge is also a symptom that is often noticed. Nevertheless, if it is the brown discharge that has persisted for a long time or has other symptoms, visiting a gynecologist or an endocrinologist would be a wise thing to do.

I’m a 15 year old female and I had sex for the first time but I used a condom, and my period is late

Female | 15

It is common to worry when your first sexual intercourse is not on time. It may be a bit late due to stress, weight gain hormonal imbalance, etc. If you think that you might be pregnant then do a pregnancy test to calm down yourself. Remember that every time one should use a condom during sex to avoid pregnancy and getting infections like HIV.

I got my last period on jan 2 and have been having unprotected sex since then today i took home pregnancy test and line at C is dark and line at T is faint also having brownish and red blood

Female | 23

Depending on your symptoms, it could be an implantation bleeding. However, to confirm pregnancy and rule out other potential issues, you should go see a gynecologist. I would suggest a visit to a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology for assessment and appropriate treatment.

I have had my period for 2 weeks since November 19th it started off so light it would be one day blood the next no blood then all of a sudden super heavy period and it haven’t stopped

Female | 21

irregular PERIODS can be NORMAL, but two weeks is excessive. It's important to see a doctor to identify the underlying cause. There are many possible reasons, including HORMONAL imbalances, thyroid problems, FIBROIDS, or polyps.. Your doctor may recommend a pelvic exam, an ultrasound, or blood tests to identify the problem..It's important to address this issue as excessive bleeding can lead to anemia and other complications. Don't hesitate to seek medical attention.

I had unprotected sex a day after my ovulation and I took contraceptive pills. Will I still get pregnant?

Female | 28

It is possible to prevent pregnancy by taking emergency contraception pills after having unprotected sex. These pills stop or delay the release of an egg from the ovary. However, they do not work all the time. This means that you can still get pregnant. if you have any symptoms such as unusual bleeding or missed period, it is advisable to take a pregnancy test just to be sure.
