Why is my labia majora swelling and itching?

Patient's Query

Almost from last 4-5 months right side of labia majora has been swell and it is very itching in that area. And had one small pimple in that are from last 1yr . Please suggest some medicine. I am 23 years old , I am student (don't have money to consult a doctor or to meet that why I am trying to connect who provide free service)

Answered by Dr. Deepak Jakhar

It seems like you are dealing with an infection in that area, which is the possible cause of the swelling and itching. The tiny pimple you mentioned is related as well. It is important to keep the area clean and dry so that you can avoid the further irritation caused. An over-the-counter antifungal or antibacterial cream is an option for you to use if you want to prevent the symptoms from getting worse, but if the symptoms persist or worsen, it is better to visit an orthopedist to get the correct diagnosis.

Can I use soframycin ointment on my nose piercing

Female | 17

Nose piercings sometimes get infected. Redness, swelling, pus appear when germs enter. Soframycin ointment doesn't treat piercing infections. Saline solution (saltwater) gently cleans the area. Rinse piercing multiple times daily. If symptoms persist beyond several days, consult a doctor. Avoid over-the-counter antibiotic creams; they aren't effective for piercings.

I have a rash on breast for a year changes slightly recently. No other symptoms

Female | 40

A rash on the breast persisting for a year and showing recent changes should prompt a visit to a dermatologist. While it could be benign, such changes may signify underlying issues like dermatitis, fungal infections, or even rare conditions like Paget's disease of the breast.

Having pimple and painful bumps need a cream or gel.

Male | 22

Your skin issues seem to indicate pimples and sore bumps. These happen when pores get blocked, trapping bacteria inside. An over-the-counter cream or gel with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid may help. These ingredients reduce inflammation by killing bacteria on your skin's surface. Wash your face regularly to prevent clogging. Don't squeeze pimples, though - that can cause scarring. With some care, those bumps will clear up.

Male | 21

Experiencing painful cracked corners of mouth, a condition which is also known as angular stomatitis, might be intolerable. This kind of condition might be brought about by a number of reasons such as vitamin deficiency, yeast infection, or drooling. The main symptoms involve the appearances of redness, swelling, and sores at the corners of the mouth. Ways to get it healed include keeping the area dry, applying the lip balm, and eating a balanced diet that has fruits and vegetables high in vitamins.
