Answered by Farida Lokhandwala

Hello, Basically, acne/pimples, blackheads and whiteheads cannot be permanently cured or prevented. However, they can be effectively treated and it is an ongoing process. To control and manage acne, you need to consult an experienced dermatologist in Kalyani Nagar Pune who can understand the root cause of your problem and treat it accordingly. As for controlling blackheads, deep-pore cleansing facial helps. Also, clay mask, charcoal mask and exfoliation are effective methods to remove blackheads. Hope our answer helps you.

I have been for four years keratosis pilaris How can I fix the skin problem?

Female | 20

Chicken skin is a condition where your skin feels bumpy, and rough, like sandpaper. Keratin buildup blocks hair follicles, causing this. Using mild cleansers helps. Moisturize often. Gentle exfoliation smooths bumps. Lactic acid or urea products reduce roughness. It's common but usually improves gradually.

My mother has developed red patches on skin all over her body. Initially it occurs as a small red patch and then it widens and spreads . These red patches have occurred on her neck, breast, tummy, legs, head, back, elbow , everywhere. She has also developed cuts on her finger. It itches and burns very much. What is the diagnosis of this skin disease?

Female | 55

Your description of the symptoms leads me to believe that your mother has a skin condition called eczema. Eczema is characterized by the appearance of red, itchy patches on the skin. It can be caused or aggravated by certain substances or environmental factors. To alleviate the symptoms, it is necessary to maintain the skin's hydration and avoid irritants. Using mild soaps and wearing comfortable, breathable clothes can also be helpful.

I have acne scars which topical creams are best to use

Male | 24

Topical creams having retinoids, glycolic acid, and vitamin C are quite helpful in fading away the appearance of the scars. Nevertheless, you need to confer with a dermatologist if you are going to opt for a skin cream and the specialist can guide you with a better treatment plan that is unique to your type of skin and the extent of your scars.
