Which doctor treats excessive sweating?

Patient's Query

Hi doctors, My mother who is 50 yrs old is facing excessive sweating from 2 years, we hve checked her BP, sugar and thyroid which are normal, but I'm not understanding which doctor to consult regarding this excessive sweating.

Answered by Dr. Ishmeet Kaur

Hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating, is annoying. The reasons for the sweating can be other than normal BP, sugar, and thyroid of your mother. The medications, menopause, stress, or health problems that are hidden might lead to such a situation. A dermatologist with a focus on skin problems will be the best choice. They can help pinpoint the cause of the sweating and recommend treatments.

Sir i have hair fall problem can i do Keratin

Female | 33

Yes, you can undergo a Keratin hair treatment to help reduce hair fall. Keratin treatments are designed to help strengthen and nourish the hair and reduce breakage. However, it is important to keep in mind that Keratin treatments should not be used as a primary treatment for hair loss. You should speak to your doctor to determine the underlying cause of your hair loss and the best treatment options for you.

I have ringworm for almost 4 months .some of the ringworm in my inner thighs and now in pubic area too. Some of them under my breast too.applied clotrimazole, terbinafine ointments. But didn't worked. What should I do

Female | 18

It looks like you have bad case of ringworm which did not respond to the OTC medicines. I suggest that as soon as possible you see a dermatologist who specializes in fungal infections. They may give you oral antifungal medicine and topical treatment to improve the result. Seek urgent medical care since untreated ringworm can cause problems.

Treatment for razor bumps in bikini area, have used ketoconazole cream for it but still no result would love the assistance of a dermatologist here to help out with the treatment

Female | 21

Razor bumps in the bikini area are a common cause for concern. Injuries to follicles that occur through shaving are usually behind these bumps. They are typically red, itchy, and with small bumps. When ketoconazole cream does not help, another alternative is the use of a mild hydrocortisone cream that can help to control inflammation. Put on some lotion to the part all the time so it stays moisturized.

My left leg is wounded and have swelling by itching.

Male | 56

Looks like you got a wound in your left leg that’s swollen and itchy. Swelling and itching can occur when the body is healing a wound. It might be infected or irritated. To relieve these symptoms, ensure the wound is clean, use a mild antiseptic, and elevate your leg to reduce swelling. Change dressings frequently to prevent infection.

Female | 32

Depending on the type of blemishes you have, the treatment could range from over-the-counter topical medications, to prescription medications, to laser or light treatments, to chemical peels, to microdermabrasion. The cost of the treatment will depend on the type of treatment and the number of sessions recommended.

Hi Team, This is regarding to my mother who age is 55. She got burning feet from so many years and nowadays she is getting on the hands as well. Just want to know what is the reason and is there any oilment or tablet to cure her problem.

Female | 55

Without a proper evaluation and diagnosis, it is difficult to understand the cause of the problem. I suggest taking your mother to a right doctor. Based on your mother's medical history and certain evaluations, he will be able to know the cause of burning feet and hands and can suggest an appropriate treatment. Hope this proved helpful.

I am a 22 year old female, my breasts have become more pale and sensitive as of late, and am unsure why.

Female | 22

Breasts changing color and feeling more sensitive is common. This could happen due to hormones, irritated skin, or blood flow changes. Look for other issues like pain or lumps too. If changes last or worry you, talk to a doctor for a checkup.

I am 21 years old and having forehead acne only and no acne on other part of face and my doctor suggested me isotretinoin should I take it or they are for severe acne?

Female | 21 years

Forehead acne is quite common. It can be because of the sebum the skin makes too much as it gets plugged and distresses the follicles. Isotretinoin is mainly used for the treatment of severe acne, so if your doctor has recommended it, it may indicate that your acne has become more severe and chronic. Make sure you are listening to your doctor and feel free to express your worries if you have any.

I need some help not sure what to do. Not so long ago I noticed some wierd looking lines on my lower back, I figured it might be from the seats at school as they have pretty sharp wooden supports that when leaned on might make dents like that. But it has been a couple of weeks and these marks are not going away. Not I'm not so sure if it is the seats cause that would normally be gone In a couple days. If I could compare it to anything they are horizontal lines some longer some shorter, a couple of them and (it might sound a little bizarre) but they look somewhat like stab wound scars or something similar, atlast from my point of view.

Male | 15

It is advised to see a dermatologist who will inspect the site and give a prescribed diagnosis. They may also give treatments options that can be used to lessen the lines visibility.
