What should I do for recurring tonsil issue and nausea?

Patient's Query

Hi. So, I was on an antibiotic for a week because I had white spot behind one tonsil. It wen't away but now is back and I feel nauseus every night and today really tired. What should I do?

Answered by Dr. Babita Goel

Your tonsil infection may have returned, and the antibiotic you took previously may not have completely cured it. I recommend visiting an ENT specialist who can diagnose and treat your condition appropriately.

i want to increase my height my age is 13 and height is 4'7

Male | 13

At the age of 13, a person is still capable of growing taller but to some significant extent it depends on genetics. Healthy growth can be promoted through exercise and an appropriate diet. Nevertheless, if you worry about your height then it is better to visit a pediatrician or an endocrinologist who will diagnose any potential medical conditions that might impair growth.

Can I take the tacky and Benadryl together

Female | 18

Don't take Tums and Benadryl together. Tums can help with heartburn or other stomach problems, while Benadryl might be used for itching caused by allergies. However, if both drugs are taken simultaneously it may result in side effects such as dizziness, sleepiness and confusion. For better performance without health risks ensure they have been taken few hours apart.

I am a 20 year old male. i was put onto treatment by my doctor and mt traditional healer at the same time. my traditional healer gave me a drink to drink over the course of four months (September to December) and now I can't feel the effects of my doctors medication. what could the issue be?

Male | 20

Sometimes when people mix things up like this, it can have surprising effects on them. It could alter how those drugs work on you. Maybe that’s why you haven’t been responding to treatment as expected. The best way forward would be to communicate these things with your doctor openly for an optimal solution.

I am having problems of vomiting and diarrhea for past two days almost . Today i am almost good. I have taken O2 ...but my parents are saying IF i take HOT RASAGULLA(A SWEET MADE FROM MILK PRODUCT) it is good for my lose motion/diarrhea...IS IT REALLY GOOD? WHAT SHOULD BE MY DIET RIGHT NOW?

Male | 21

It will be good to avoid heavy or sugary foods like hot rasagulla. Follow a BRAT diet: Bananas, Rice, Applesauce, and Toast. Drink plenty of fluids and consider plain boiled chicken and cooked vegetables. Avoid spicy, fried, and dairy foods. Stay hydrated and consult a doctor if symptoms persist.

I had a sex contact and took Hive test on 25th Jan. Non-reactive (Feb-2) Next test (Feb-28) and LIST test (May-02) Non-reactive - now should I test?

Male | 32

A "non-reactive" result indicates that the test did not detect HIV antibodies or antigens in your blood at the time of testing. And you have consistently received non-reactive results over a span of a few months. However, for definitive advice regarding testing intervals and your specific situation, it's essential to consult a professional who specializes in sexual health or infectious disease

Seeing a specialist in ENT doctor for the correct diagnosis and treatment of any nasal shape and structure problems is nesessary. Although there are genetic factors that may be causing the appearance and the shape of your nose, some medical states may be present and could be triggering your symptoms.

How long will 3 mg melatonin keep me asleep

Female | 23

melatonin should be seen as facilitating sleep rather than as an inducing sleep medication. The result is not the same for everyone who is using 3 mg of melatonin, and there is no guarantee that they will be able to stay asleep after taking the dosage. For sleep-related diseases, always consult a sleep specialist.

Hello, I had a cut on my hand and another person's hand touched my wound. I saw the cut on his hand too, but I didn't feel any moisture after touch. Is it possible for HIV to be transmitted in this way?

Female | 34

HIV spreads mainly from unprotected sex, needles, or transfusions. Getting it through touching is very rare. If there was no blood or fluid, the chances are tiny. Symptoms like fever, tiredness, swollen glands may occur. But talk to a doctor if you're concerned. They can ease your worries and maybe test you.
