Nausea during a period usually is one of the most common symptoms, but if it goes beyond and is accompanied by other symptoms like vomiting, fever, or redness, it might be a cause for concern. I recommend you to look for a gynecologist or a general practitioner.

Hi Doctor , I'm a mother of 2 kids and recently had a miscarriage, now me & my husband want to go for tubal ligation surgery as it says it's not 100% although it's a permanent birth control method of over 99% effective , is it okay after the surgery to start taking Ovral L pill ?

Female | 39

Permanent birth control can be achieved through tubal ligation surgery. The chances of pregnancy are greatly reduced with this method, but it is not 100% guaranteed. You may begin taking Ovral L after undergoing the operation. It is vital that you have an open discussion with your doctor in order to consider all available alternatives and make the most appropriate decision for yourself. Always feel free to share any worries you may have with your physician. I wish you all the best!

I have my menstrual period due for 27th May, it is my Boyfriend's birthday, when and how should I start the medicine dose for delaying periods? How will that medicine work?

Female | 21

If you're considering using medication to delay your menstrual period, talk to a gynecologist first. They can guide you on using hormonal birth control pills.. Starting active pills a few days before your expected period and continuing as directed can help delay your period. Always follow medical advice for your safety.

I had my period on 7 january. On 12th january i had unprotected sex, but my partner didn't cum inside. i took ipill on 13 January. Again I got periods on 19 January. I haven't yet got periods on February. Is there any concern regarding pregnancy? or is it just delayed period?

Female | 28

There could be a delay in menstrual cycle because of many reasons like stress, hormonal problems and some medical conditions. Nevertheless, you had no protection thus pregnancy is always a possibility for you. A pregnancy test and a visit to the gynecologist will be necessary for proper evaluation. They help you in knowing what to do and also give medical advice.
