Can I Take Vitamin A Supplements After Finishing Accutane Treatment?

Patient's Query

I finish my accutane treatment so can I consume supplement vitamin A

Answered by Dr. Anju Methil

It is recommended that you seek the advice of your dermatologist when considering any vitamin A supplements after ending your Accutane therapy. Toxicity occurs when too much vitamin A is ingested since the liver becomes affected. Based on your medical background and condition, the dosage and duration of vitamin A supplements will be recommended by a dermatologist.
