Could attempted penetration without protection cause pregnancy for first-time partners?

Patient's Query

I had sex (not exactly) without protection. It was basically the dick attempting to get inside the vagina but couldn’t so we stopped. Since it was our first time is there any chance of pregnancy?

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

Even if the penis doesn't completely enter the vagina, pregnancy is possible. Sperm could still release and gain access, potentially leading to conception. Should you have concerns, watch for signs like a late period, nausea, or tender breasts. In any case, it's wise to take a pregnancy test or talk to a gynecologist for guidance.

I advise you to visit a gynecologist for a diagnosis of your current health status. It is frequently due to a number of reasons, for instance hormonal imbalance, stress, or hidden medical problems. A gynecologist can do the thorough examination and give all the needed guidance

Breast pain and presence of a lump can have various causes, such as hormonal changes, fibrocystic changes, infections, cysts, or even injury. In some cases, it could be associated with breast cancer, although this is not common. It's best to get a checkup done with your nearest gynecologist.

Yes, it's possible to ovulate even if you have irregular periods or missed a period in a month. Ovulation can vary due to factors like stress and hormonal imbalances. Tracking your cycle and symptoms can help.

I suggest you consult a gynecologist about the use of emergency contraceptive pills like Unwanted 72. In addition to being a safe and effective way of contraception, it may cause irregular periods and side effects.

You should get it checked by a specialist as soon as possible. It could be a sign of breast infection, cysts or even breast cancer. Just be sure to visit a specialist and get a proper diagnosis.
