Why do I have persistent body itching post Oratane?

Patient's Query

I have been experiencing itching all over my body. It started months ago after being exposed to someone. I tried treating it with all sorts of medication it doesn't go away.my skin looks dry and last year I was on oratane for period of 7 months

Answered by Dr. Archit Aggarwal

Excessive persistent itching throughout your body can become very irritating. It may worsen due to dry skin especially after a drug like Oratane. Sometimes the cause of itching could be allergies or skin conditions. Make sure to use mild creams that will keep your skin moist and avoid taking hot showers. You may have to see a dermatologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

I used to have pimples on my face 2 to 3 years ago but after using some medicine the pimples reduced but pigmentation acne has appeared on my face, how should I cure it.

Female | 21

This condition occurs when your skin produces excess pigment, resulting in dark spots. It often appears after a pimple has healed. To treat it, you can use products containing ingredients like vitamin C or retinol, which can help fade the dark spots over time. Remember to always apply sunscreen to protect your skin from further damage.

I’ve hyperpigmentation on my face and suburn don’t know what to avoid and yse

Female | 18

I see that you are having dark spots on your face after getting a sunburn. This is called hyperpigmentation. It happens when your skin makes more pigment, called melanin, to protect itself from the sun. To help, avoid direct sunlight, use sunscreen, wear a hat, and apply aloe vera to soothe the burn. Over time, the dark spots may fade, but protecting your skin from the sun is key.
