I have been itchy for over month now and it’s not getting better and it’s affecting my day

Answered by Dr. Anju Methil

The outside could be an indicator of an underlying medical condition for a month’s duration of itching. It may be associated with allergies, skin infections and even long-term skin conditions like eczema. I recommend a visit to a dermatologist.

i’m not sure if i have a cold sore or if it’s something else. what do i do??

Female | 17

Usually, cold sores appear as red, swollen bumps on or around your lips. They can hurt a little and may have clear fluid inside them. The virus responsible for cold sores is known as herpes simplex. You could try using over-the-counter creams or ointments to make them heal quicker. Always wash your hands and avoid touching the sore so it doesn't spread.

Fungal infections in areas like your thighs cause redness, itchiness, and rashes. These infections thrive in warm, moist environments. It's crucial to avoid exercises until the infection clears up. Sweat can worsen the condition. To treat it effectively, keep the affected area clean and dry. Use an antifungal cream as directed. Wear loose, breathable clothing. Once the infection resolves completely, you can resume exercises for weight loss without concerns.
