Post-Malaria Treatment: Persistent Weakness, Nausea, Headache

Patient's Query

I just finish using my medication for Malaria but I still feel weak, nauseous and the headache triple

Answered by Dr. Gurneet Sawhney

Feeling weak, nauseous, and getting headaches is normal after finishing malaria medication. Your body needs time to recover from the infection. Rest well. Drink lots of fluids. Eat healthy foods. It can take a while for your body to feel 100% again. If symptoms worsen or persist, consult your neurologist.

If I don’t say something immediately I will forget it after

Male | 13

If you often forget things quickly, it could be due to something called short-term memory loss. Symptoms include difficulty remembering recent events or information. This can happen due to stress, lack of sleep, or not paying attention. Try to practice good sleep habits, reduce stress, and pay attention when you learn new things. Writing things down can also help you remember better.

Please help me I'm 38 years old I have pain all over my body I feel sick all the time I'm tried all the time and I have nights sweats for the last week

Male | 38

It seems like you may have some symptoms which could mean many things. Pain everywhere, feeling bad a lot, always being worn out, and sweating at night are all signs of different illnesses. A virus infection might be one cause but so could an immune system disorder or even just stress alone. You need to see a doctor so that they can find out what is going on with you exactly--and then give feedback that is helpful for treating whatever this turns out to be.

Female | 22

It may be due to stress or anxiety. In such cases, it is advisable to practice mindfulness meditation, deep breathing and some relaxation exercises. Also, knowing the cause of your stress and anxiety may help. If the problem still continues, please consult a reputed doctor to address the issue. I hope this helps.

I am 46 year old man. I have little fever since days and headache with feeling head like heavyness. I do also vomit with loose motions before 4-5 days and have many anxiety also..

Male | 46

Symptoms such as fever, headache, throwing up, diarrhea, and nervousness could point towards a stomach bug or food poisoning. These might also leave you feeling light-headed or generally unwell. Make sure to drink enough water, get plenty of rest, and stick with bland foods if this is what you’re going through. If your condition doesn’t improve or gets worse than before, please see a doctor so they can examine you properly and give appropriate treatment options.

You have done well by observing that your seizures change when you take Epilim or not. Ensure to let your doctor know your intentions. They can assist in identifying a suitable drug and dosage that will help manage the condition without harming the fetus.
