Why no period after stopping birth control pills?

Patient's Query

I was taking birth control pills from last few months. After getting period last month i stopped taking pills because i was not sexually active. Now I'm not getting my period.

Answered by Dr. Himali Patel

Your period might not show up right away when stopping birth control pills. That's okay and common. Adjusting hormones causes a temporary delay. Other factors like stress or weight shifts too. Wait patiently; it'll likely return soon. But see a gynecologist if missing several months. Bodies need time to adapt after stopping birth control medication. This irregularity happens frequently as changes settle.

Heya I am 36 + 4 weeks pregnant i am currently going to be getting my 3rd c section can I ask for to be done before 39 weeks pregnant

Female | 32

You must comprehend the dangers of a cesarean section before 39 weeks gestation. Infants born before this time may experience difficulty breathing and require special attention. I advise discussing with your physician about waiting until after 39 weeks for a safer delivery instead.

i have PCOS. I missed my periods for 28 days and in between those 28 days i had protected sex. after 28 days i took Meprate and my periods came after. Is there any chance of getting pregnant even if i had my periods?

MISSING periods in PCOS is common.. Protected sex reduces pregnancy risk. Meprate is used to induce periods.. Periods indicate NO pregnancy possibility..

My last period date was 1st April , i had taken ipill on 7th April and till now that is on 14th may I haven't got my periods , pregnancy test is negative, doctor prescribed deviry for 7 days , i will get my periods na

Female | 22

Ipill can sometimes affect your menstrual cycle and cause a delay in your period. Additionally, stress, hormonal changes, or other factors can also contribute to irregular menstrual cycles. After completing the course of Deviry, you may experience withdrawal bleeding, which is similar to a period. It can take a few days to a week after finishing the medication for this bleeding to occur.

What is the meaning of blow mentioned points Urinary bladder is partially filled. Endometrial thickness is measuring approx (12) mm. bilateral adnexa unremarkable.

Female | 22

partial filling of urinary bladder is one of the most frequent cases identified through routine ultrasound scanning. The normal changes of the menstrual cycle may cause endometrial thickness to be about 12 mm, or it can require further investigation by a gynecologist in some cases. A positive finding is that the bilateral adnexa are unremarkable:. Other questions or concerns about such findings must be addressed by asking your gynecologist to assess them in detail.
