I'm 27 year old, having acne issue for 2 years, consulted with skin specialist however no improvement problem is same, it's seems like small bumbs on face, what should I do ?

Acne is multi-factorial problem, hormonal disease in most of the patients, diet, exercise, hygiene, grooming practices play important role.so visiting dermatologist and taking treatment is one option and maintain treatment for long time because if you are getting any improvement with the treatment then continue it otherwise dermatologist will change it. there are few things that has to be taken care. One thing not to apply hair oil, avoid having dandruff or use anti-dandruff shampoos weekly on the scalp, using face washes that have salicylic acid or glycolic acid. Avoid using thick greasy moisturizers or cream on the face. Use only creams that are gel based or water based. Drink plenty of water, avoid fat or cheesy diet, exercise 10-15 mins of the day. Topical steroids have to be avoided. Topical antibiotics like Clindamycin are useful. Oral Antibiotics or retinoids are advised.

May I request a suggestion from you regarding a very important and sensitive patient . Age: 22 yrs ,Male. Having Post Acne Erythema of both cheeks for last 1 yr. Treated with Oral Isotretinoin, topical clindamycin,niacinamide ,Tacrolimus, and PDL. Did not observe significant improvement. (Excluded Connective Tissue Disease) Regards-

Post acne erythema and macular erythematous scars are common in few individuals as the acne subside. Sometimes underlying Rosacea component may also contribute to redness. Oral isotretinoin itself can cause mild erythema as long as the drug is taken if sunscreen is not used appropriately. Quasi long pulse mode of QS yag laser, topical drugs like topical Ivermectin, metronidazole for underlying rosaceaetc are prescribed by the Dermatologists. Please consult a Dermatologist for the same.

Sun tan is quite common because of unprotected sun exposure. This is because of excess production of melanin or excess accumulation of melanin in the skin layers in response to UV rays. Moles are formed due to arrest of melanin producing cells in skin layers where they continue to produce melanin which collects to form flat or raised moles. Tan can be treated by using certain depigmenting creams which contain glycolic acid, kojicacid, alpha arbutin etc which have to be used under the supervision of a qualified dermatologist. Procedural treatment like chemical peels and laser toning with QS yag laser can help. Most important is religious use of sunscreens to prevent further tan and improvement of skin.
