Could Bump on My Nose Piercing Be a Keloid?

Patient's Query

Im 29’yr old female whose been dealing wirh a bump on my nose piercing ive had tge piercing for yrs but have had this bump dir 3yrs now is it a keloid or hypertrophic sxar

Answered by Dr. Ishmeet Kaur

If you've had a bump on your nose piercing for 3 years, it could be a keloid or a hypertrophic scar. Keloids are raised and can grow beyond the piercing site, while hypertrophic scars are raised but confined to the area of the piercing. It's best to consult a dermatologist to determine the exact cause and get appropriate treatment options.

I am using minoxidil since 2 month. After using this my hair line is more visible what can I do ?

Male | 25

This might happen sometimes as a side effect. Minoxidil could cause increased hair fall before new hair starts to grow. The most important thing is to wait because this shedding usually is temporary. If you are worried, it’s better to continue using the medicine as directed and consult your doctor for more advice.

It is advisable to take the help of a dermatologist who deals with skin conditions and works to provide an accurate diagnosis and the right treatment. Do not use over-the-counter drugs, or self-medicate. They may worsen the condition.

Hello I consume ketanzole lotion by mistake 1 teaspoon what should I do

Male | 47

If this did happen, don’t panic too much, as it can occur. Ketoconazole contains an ingredient that can be harmful when ingested. Symptoms such as stomach ache, nausea, or vomiting are likely to occur. If you notice any of these signs, seek medical attention immediately. In the meantime, try not to get too worked up about it. Instead, drink plenty of water to help reduce the concentration of the drug in your system.

Hi, my mom wore sandals and it cut a little part of the top of her foot skin. It’s like a round circle and you can see the red skin. She has been using different foot medicine like antiseptic spray, rolled gauze bands, vaseline. She has took ibuprofen for pain. What can she do so it heals faster and relief pain?

Female | 60

Your mom likely developed a foot wound from friction with her sandal. Inflamed red skin indicates irritation. Antiseptic spray application was smart for preventing infections. Rolled gauze bandages shield the wound area. Vaseline keeps skin moisturized, promoting healing. Taking ibuprofen reduces discomfort and swelling. For quicker recovery, keeping the wound clean and dry while avoiding pressure on that foot is crucial.
