Hi, I have been waking in the early morning (usually between 4 and 5:30) with pain in my shoulders, back, chest or ribs. I am sure it is trapped wind because once I get up and walk around and release the gas by a lot of burping or going to the toilet, the pain goes away. I then try and get back to sleep though can find this difficult. A lot of the time the pain starts again usually 1-2 hours later. Once more, when I sit up it tends to go away, even without burping etc. I do have tenderness around my diaphragm sometimes or sensitivity when pressing to try and move the area. I seem to experience this nightly now regardless of dietary changes. I am a 45 year old male and in generally reasonable health. Thanks for your help. Paul

Hepatopetal flow in the portal vein noted. The gallbladder is normally distended with no gallstones, gallbladder wall thickening or pericholecystic fluid. Can not exclude a small amount of dependent sludge. The common bile duct measures less than 2 mm in diameter. The right kidney demonstrates normal corticomedullary differentiation. No obstructive uropathy. The right kidney is 10.6 cm in length with normal color flow. Left kidney is 10.5 cm in length with normal corticomedullary differentiation and no evidence of obstruction. The spleen is fairly homogeneous. IMPRESSION: Limited evaluation of the pancreas and proximal aorta due to bowel gas. No obvious free fluid, correlation needed, consider CT with IV contrast if additional assessment warranted. Subtle gallbladder sludge suspected. No acute cholecystitis.

I keep getting lower back pain and had issue with rectal bleeding and when I wipe toilet bowl is full of blood sometimes pink and some times dark red had the rectal bleeding for over a year I have had 2 colonoscopy scans and Yorkshire Clinic and Eccleshill Community Hospital stated I had piles last year but the rectal bleeding is still occurring and I had a bowel bleed about 2:30 am on the 28th July 2024 and first time I contacted my Gp about the bowel bleed was around the 5th May 2023 according to the patches website Previous GP also refused to issue me a fit not for the back pain last year and the back pain is still occurring.
