Infections like these can be the hard-headed ones. It's crucial to seek advice from a healthcare professional to find out the most effective treatment option. Anti-scars are supposed to vanish with time, but some treatments can help improve their appearance more quickly. I got lightly scratched by a stray cat. It did draw blood. I made sure to clean ot properly and use anti-bacterial cloth. Do I need to see a doctor or are there any symptoms to be aware of?

Male | 23

Cats can scratch, and it happens. You've cleaned it properly, which is great. However, keep an eye out for signs of infection, like redness, swelling, warmth, or increasing pain near the scratch. If you notice any of these, see a doctor right away.

My son has redish spots on the body feeling swear itching and burrowing with swelling.

Male | Roshaan

Your son might have a skin condition called hives. These are small, pinkish-red, itchy lumps that appear on the skin. Hives are generally caused by a person's allergic reaction to specific types of food, or drugs, or by bug bites. Give him an antihistamine that will alleviate the itchy skin and reduce the swelling. Moreover, you should search for the elements that cause the hives to not occur the rest of the time.

Can I take tetanus injection 4 days after a minor surface scratch on a finger without blood coming out. There's a little redness and pain. I continuously applied handwash and a common antiseptic cream 2-3 times daily since the injury. Now can I take tetanus injection today or am I good?

Male | 26

Cleaning a scratch often with soap and cream is smart. Small cuts can allow tetanus germs inside. Tetanus makes muscles tight and jerky - dangerous. If injured, take the tetanus shot within one to three days. Since it's been four days and your scratch is red and hurts, get the shot today to be secure. That shields you from risks.

Female | 35

When ticks bite, it can cause itching, rash, and redness on the skin. If the tick’s head remains in your body, it may result in an infection. To alleviate this, wash the affected area with soap and water then apply an anti-itch cream. Watch out for any signs of infection like increased redness or pain; should you notice any seek medical attention immediately.

The red and circular patches that have spread all over your body might be ringworm. This is a fungal infection that requires specific antifungal drugs like Terbinafine or Clotrimazole in many cases. The affected areas should be kept tidy and dry; loose clothes may also be worn.
