Could semen on fingers cause delayed periods after fingering?

Patient's Query

My periods are delayed and I am in doubt that seman got on my fingers a bit and did fingering

Answered by Dr. Swapna Chekuri

Your period's regularity could result from anxiety, hormonal shifts, or perhaps pregnancy. Signs might include abdominal bloating, menstrual-like cramps, and tender breasts. It's wise to be patient, see if menstruation begins. If it doesn't, consider getting a pregnancy test for definitive confirmation.

I have irregular periods sometimes even in 2 months. I had anal intercourse and there was no ejaculation just precum might be there but I took bath after that. I took regestrone 5mg for 3 days one tab per day and got light bleed after 3-4 days. Am i pregnant?

Female | 20

Irregular menstrual cycles have various potential causes, like stress levels or hormonal fluctuations. Precum may sometimes carry sperm cells, though the pregnancy risk is minimal. Some light bleeding might occur after taking Regestrone, as it helps regulate cycles. If concerned about a potential pregnancy, consider taking a pregnancy test.

What effective treatment options are available for persistent green vaginal discharge caused by E. coli infection that has not responded to doxycycline, metronidazole, and clotrimazole vaginal suppositories?

Female | 30

If you have had green vaginal discharge for a year and an hvs test shows an E. coli infection, consult your doctor for appropriate treatment. Antibiotics are used normally, but if the prescribed medication hasn't been effective, your doctor will make further evaluation and adjustments accordingly.

The light bleeding and vaginal itching could likely be attributed to a post-D&C infection. I would recommend you go for a gynecological examination and treatment.

I am a female i had unprotected sex on the 27th October and got my period the next day which lasted for 3 days but then few days later i started having mild cramps on my middle stomach and sides and i took 2 birth control pills a few days later i had ovulation after from which i am experiencing frequent urination, head aches, stomach pains that come and go, as well as some constipation problems, i also started to eat a lot now. i did take a test which was negative on the 8th day after my period ended

Female | 18

It's unlikely you're PREGNANT.... Mild cramps normal after sex. BIRTH CONTROL pills affect hormones. It's normal to have symptoms after ovulation. Stress can cause constipation and headaches. Negative test may be too early. Keep an eye on symptoms..

Female | 19

Worrying when periods are late after unprotected sex is normal. Stress can disrupt menstrual cycles, yes. But pregnancy or hormonal shifts might also cause delays. Anxiousness or tension indicate stress. Taking an at-home pregnancy test provides certainty. Managing stress is key too - exercise, confiding in friends. Periods will return when the root issue resolves.

Hello mam I'm 18 years old and I had my first sexual Intercourse yesterday with condom protection, and this is before 1 and half week of my period, and during the process there was no ejaculation from him, so are there any chances for me to get pregnant?

Female | 18

Even if you use a condom, there's still a small chance of pregnancy if there was contact between the genitals. But, if the ejaculation was avoided, the chance is very low. So, nothing to worry about if you're late at times in your periods. A physical examination and pregnancy test after a week or so will be useful for a positive result to confirm that you are pregnant or not.

I am facing yeast infection first time. Do I take one fluconazole tablet per day or a tablet in 3 days

Female | 20

Yeast infections are quite common. They occur when your body has too much yeast. This imbalance can result in itching, burning, and strange discharge. If it's your first time experiencing a yeast infection, the typical treatment is one fluconazole pill taken in a single day. Fluconazole kills the fungus responsible for the infection. However, you must follow the medication instructions precisely.

I had an ipill and had inetercourse within 12-15 hrs or taking the pill do I need to take another one

Female | 25

If you had an emergency contraceptive pill within 12-15 hours of intercourse, you are usually protected. It's common to experience changes in your period after taking the pill. Wait for your next period; if it's late or abnormal, do a pregnancy test. Also, using regular birth control methods is important to prevent pregnancy in the future.
