Answered by Dr. Babita Goel

Yes, antibiotics can help reduce CRP (C-reactive protein) levels if the high CRP is due to a bacterial infection. It’s important to complete the full course of antibiotics as prescribed by your doctor. Please follow up with your pediatrician to monitor your son's condition and ensure proper recovery.

Hello My 11 year old son started showing covid symptoms on Tuesday August 1st. I tested him Friday August 4th and it was positive. I tested him again this morning and it's still positive. I was wondering if he still needs to quarantine. School is Monday and I dont know if he should go or not.

It's worrying your son caught COVID-19. He needs to stay quarantined, even with a positive test. COVID-19 spreads easily, and symptoms are gone or not. Common signs are coughing, fever, and tiredness. Protecting others means avoiding the spread. So stay home until not contagious.

Male | 14

A lot of kids, even at age 14, go through bedwetting. Your body isn't controlling the bladder yet during sleep hours. Don't fret, most youngsters outgrow this issue eventually. You could try using the bathroom right before bedtime. Skip drinking liquids in the evening hours too. Speak with your doctor for extra advice to fix this.

Male | 11

For an 11-year-old boy around 155cm tall, weighing 51kg, an 80cm waist size could be a bit large. A bigger waistline at a young age might cause future health concerns like diabetes or heart issues. To maintain good health, balanced meals are crucial. Additionally, engaging in enjoyable exercises and discussing waist size monitoring with an adult could be beneficial.

I advise you to take your child to a doctor. Based on proper evaluation and diagnosis, the doctor will be able to determine whether the problem faced is due some underlying medical issue such as food intolerance, infection  or some other reason. Based on that, treatment may be suggested which may include certain dietary and lifestyle changes, medications etc.

The symptoms of cough and cold before and after hospitalization and the diagnosis of typhoid fever are not matching so the baby will need complete workup by clinical examination and reviewing the reports.

My one month daughter struggles with constipation and reflux and but constantly groans and moans all the time. Even when she's sleeping she constantly brings her feet up and moves around. She also cries a lot like she's in a lot of discomfort. Her moaning is persistent and if she goes quiet she squeaks really loud like she's struggling to breath.

Female | 1 month

Is your daughter breast fed or top fed? And what do you exactly mean when you say she is constipated? Mild reflux is common at this age and if she is gaining weight properly then it is not worrisome. Do proper burping after each feed. If symptoms persist, it is advisable to get her examined by pediatrician.
