Our Child Was Handling Rabbits As His Pet, Due to Which He's Got Rashes Everywhere And Itching.

Answered by Dr. Manas N

You need to visit dermatologist immediately if your child is experiencing rashes and itching due to handling pets. Depending on the severity of the reaction, the doctor may prescribe an anti-itch cream or an oral medication. By that time keep the area clean and dry. avoid touching the rabbits until the rash has cleared. Ensure that the rabbits are healthy and free of any parasites or other conditions that could have caused the reaction. Use gloves in the future when handling them.

Sir, I am 23 year old. I don't have beard. I barely have any hair under my chin. Please help me with my beard growth.

Male | 23

The dermatologist will first need your family history and trichoscopy examination for the evidence of vellus hairs. Then they might begin their treatment with minoxidil, micro-needling and Growth factor injections. If no improvement is seen however, then they will suggest hair transplant.

Treatment for open pores

Female | 26

One of the most frequent concerns facing people is the openness of the pores. Open pores can cause rough and uneven skin. The causes of these pores usually include genetics, oiliness, sunburn, and even old age. One of the ways to decrease the face of open pores is to use salicylic acid or retinoids for day and night skin treatment. Regular cleansing of your face followed by application of sunscreen can also be helpful.

I completed ERIG+ IDRV in 2022 for cat scratch. And again taken D0 And D3 in november 2023. I had taken again the vaccine for dog scratch in D0 and D3 in May 6th and May 9 th 2024. But today my cat again scratch me and blood came.should I take the vaccine again?

Female | 21

You should be protected since you've had vaccines for both cat and dog scratches. However, if you're still concerned, it's a good idea to consult your doctor to be safe. In addition to the color and swelling, you might also notice the area around the scratch becoming warmer, which could indicate an infection.

Stitches on web of hand have opened and now there is pus and earlier a large red mass on stiches

Male | 14

You may have an infection in the stitches on your hand. When pus comes out, it indicates that there is probably bacteria which is causing the infection. This might have occurred if the wound was not kept clean. If there was a large red lump previously, it could have been an abscess. It’s crucial to have this seen by medical professional because, without proper care, things like these can worsen.

Hi, I had sclerotherapy done on Wednesday last week. My veins look a lot worse, they as re purple and more visible, there is no brusing and they are also quite sore to the touch/I can feel tiredness in my legs. My doctor said I may have had an allergic reaction to the therapy because I am on holiday in a hot country (Brazil) and prescribed me an antihistamine. Will the veins eventually fade or will I need more treatment?

Female | 28

Bruising and discomfort after sclerotherapy are natural which normally resolves within a few days. But since you said your veins look worse and are more visible after the procedure could indicate a complication. It's good that you have already spoken with your doctor, but still experiencing discomfort or have any concerns, follow up with them promptly.

In some cases the veins may fade on their own over time, but if the issue is related to the sclerotherapy procedure, additional treatment can be needed. Its best to follow up with your doctor to discuss your options and determine the best treatment.
