Hello, my mom went to the doctor for UTI symptoms. After checking her, the doctor prescribed her Ciprofloxacin. After reading the severe side effects it has, my mother is uncomfortable in taking it. Would Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic) be the first option to treat a UTI? Are there other antibiotics with less severe side effects? She hasn't taken the antibiotics as she's not been feeling well. I am an 18 year old male who is training to be a professional cyclist. I have had a varicocele in both testicles for a number of years now. I had it checked by doctors a few years ago, however it was during COVID so they didn't want to remove them and said there was no need. I was wondering if I should now look into getting them removed and if they could be having any impact on my athletic performance e.g limiting testosterone?
