My son was diagnosed for Wiskott Aldric Syndrome and Doctors have advised born marrow transplant. Which can be done at special hospitals in India, please we need you to avail us the cost of bone marrow transplant in hospital. Also provide inform on if I can take any benefits of government cards like Ayushman card, Bal Sandarbh card or etc. Also provide me any other information which I should know.

Wiskott Aldric syndrome (WAS) is a very rare X-linked recessive disease characterized by eczema, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), immune deficiency, and bloody diarrhea (due to thrombocytopenia). It needs a multidisciplinary approach. Treatment too has to cover different aspects of the syndrome. Transplantation is the current accepted treatment HLA typing of all potential donors should be done. If a family donor is not identified, an unrelated donor should be searched so that potential donor is available. But over all benefits of the therapy has to be taken into account. Usually, bone marrow transplantation cost ranges from Rs. 15,00,000 ($20,929) to Rs. 40,00,000 ($55,816). I have 16 pea sized lymph nodes I am 57kg my height is 5ft 10 I’ve had them for almost 2 years and they haven’t got bigger or changed I’ve had blood tests previously and they all came back fine. I do have 2 under my jaw that’s a bit bigger than a pea though. Is it a concern? I have no symptoms except bad anxiety. I am highly afraid of cancers

Your lymph nodes not changing size or growing for two years is good. When it comes to cancer we tend to worry a lot due to anxiety. They might remain slightly enlarged sometimes. It’s usually benign but it would be prudent to get the larger ones checked by your doctor. Additionally, work on calming down your nerves because that can also be of help.
