Apply a cold compress to the affected area for 10-20 minutes every hour for the first 24-48 hours. Next, put a warm compress in place. Make an effort to stay away from any solid food and use hot beverages, instead, on the first days go for softer foods and cold drinks. If the pain doesn’t go away or gets worse, do not hesitate and visit your dentist or oral surgeon immediately.

Maybe you went through tartar accumulation that results in yellow coloring and sensitivity. It is good advice to go to the dentist and have a professional check-up. In the meantime, you can look for a tartar control toothpaste.
