Malpositioned teeth can lead to problems such as difficulty in chewing and talking. It is the result of genetic factors or the acquisition of certain habits like sucking thumb. Braces are a well-known method for fixing such problems. They slowly shift your teeth to the desired position. Do not be afraid, as many teenagers your age wear braces, and is completely normal. But, you can visit an orthodontist to learn more about it.

You may have a gum abscess, a “pocket” filled with yellow or white-colored fluid beneath the gums. Poor dental hygiene, periodontal disease, and bacterial infection can cause this condition. Its symptoms include pain, swelling, redness, and general discomfort. To relieve the pain and reduce the inflammation, you can rinse your mouth with warm salty water and see a dentist immediately.
I am 39 urs old. I have root canal tomorrow. I am asked to take 2 tablets one is betmax 509 and another is metrogyl er . I could see both are antibiotics. So I have a doubt that is it required to take 2 antibiotics?
Answered on 13th June '24
It’s common if you’re confused about taking two antibiotics before a root canal. Betmax 509 and Metrogyl ER are antibiotics that fight against infection. To ensure all the infection is gone, your dentist might have prescribed them both. Take both of them as directed which will help you not to get any complications after the process. Follow what your dentist told you and in case of any questions ask him or her.

Cavities, infections, or teeth grinding can cause this kind of pain. If you have sensitive teeth, you may experience pain when consuming hot or cold foods. Make sure to visit your dentist for them to be able to determine what’s triggering the pain and provide appropriate treatment for it.
I am having a severe tooth ache. I had an accident October 2022 and I broke some of my teeth of which I did composite build up that time. since that time I have always been having pains per time which I will buy paracetamol and the pains will be relieved. but since on Saturday, I have been taking paracetamol with pain relief and the pain still persist
Answered on 6th June '24
It sounds like you have been experiencing persistent tooth pain since the accident. The composite build-up may not be holding up well, leading to nerve irritation causing the pain. It is essential to visit a dentist to assess the condition of the teeth and the composite build-up. In the meantime, avoid chewing on that side and stick to soft foods. Apply a cold compress on the outside of the cheek to help relieve pain temporarily.
What is the best age to start orthodontic treatment?
Answered on 9th July '24
The optimal age to begin orthodontic treatment is typically 7 to 9 years old. This is because at this time children have a combination of adult and baby teeth, making it easier to fix problems like crowding or an improper bite. Early intervention can prevent more severe issues as they get older. If your child has irregular teeth, difficulty biting or chewing food, or breathes through their mouth regularly, then seeing an orthodontist for assessment would be wise.
Infection in teeth which is causing pain
Answered on 27th May '24
It looks like you may have a tooth infection. This could be why you’re in pain. Bacteria can cause tooth infections when they enter a cavity or crack in the tooth. If the gum is swollen too, it might mean that there is an infection. The dentist will have to clean out your tooth to get rid of this problem and may also give you some antibiotics.
I am 19 year old female and I my gums are becoming quite soft and aching since 3,4 days and I have ulcers in my thorat and tongue...suggest me what to do?
Answered on 12th June '24
You could have gingivitis. When your gums are red, swollen and bleed easily it is called gingivitis. Plaque builds up on the teeth and causes this. The sores on your throat and tongue may be due to infection. To relieve symptoms make sure that you brush and floss gently but often; use mild antiseptic mouthwash as well. Drink lots of water too so that spicy or acidic food does not irritate the mouth any further. Visit a dentist if there is still no change in the condition.
I have toothache..one of my tooth falls out..so that pain is horrible from morning..can i take combiflam
Answered on 23rd May '24
Your tooth fell out so the nerve is uncovered. It makes you feel a lot of pain. Taking combiflam may make the pain go away for a little while. But you need to see the dentist right away. The dentist can figure out why it happened. The dentist can fix the problem and stop the pain.
How many days it's take to fill the gap teeth
Answered on 23rd May '24
The time needed to close a gap between teeth can vary based on individual factors like the gap, chosen treatment (braces, aligners, veneers), individual response, and the orthodontist's expertise. Consulting with an orthodontist is the best way to get an accurate estimate for your specific case.
