Hello, my mother-in-law is suffering from Maligant Cancer possibly stage 4. Can she be treated through immunotherapy? Her age is 63 years and she had gone through uterus removal surgery 3 months before, because of the same cancer. But it has struck back now. Please guide us on further treatment.
Hello, Immunotherapy has promising therapeutic approach in gynecological cancer. Current studies are trying to improve clinical outcome of patients. Important is FDA approval of a drug. Also it has less side effects. But advance cancer treatment depends on risk versus benefit, age of patient and associated comorbidities mainly. It is the clinician's decision to decide the best treatment for the patient depending the on the condition of the patient. Consult an oncologist for further guidance - Best Oncologist In India. Hello, I have a few questions as follows: 1. Which is the best treatment for Lymphoma cancer with stage 2? 2. Can Immunotherapy alone can cure my cancer completely? 3. What will be the side effects of Immunotherapy? 4. How do the blood tests help in monitoring the cancer progress? 5. Which treatment has a speedy recovery while comparing immunotherapy Vs chemotherapy or radiotherapy?
As per my understanding you want to know about the best therapy for lymphoma stage 2. Treatment and Prognosis of a cancer depends on many factors, which include the type of cancer, its stage and the age and general condition of the individual. The treatment for stage 2 lymphoma depends on the type of lymphoma, medical history of patient, and others. Line of treatment is mainly chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and stem cell therapy. Any modality of treatment depends upon the condition of patient, his age, type and stage of cancer. Treatment is stage wise. Immunotherapy is newer treatment and side effects may be mild to severe like skin reactions, flu-like symptoms, body ache, diarrhea, headaches etc. Regarding blood test ,most of the investigations are on similar pattern which are use to diagnose the disease with few variations. But choice of treatment depends on the clinician's decision and as per the response of patient. Consult an oncologist - Best Oncologist In India. Hope our answer helps you.

I'd want to ask a few questions about colon cancer. My brother is a colon cancer patient and is undergoing chemotherapy. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know if nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and chest pain are usual symptoms.
Chemotherapy always has mild to moderate side effects. Nausea, Vomiting, hyperacidity and weakness are common side effects.
During the chemotherapy sessions and even after it some pre and post Chemotherapy drugs are prescribed to prevent or reduce these side effects. In case of extensive discomfort you should always consult your medical oncologist and seek his/her opinion

Squamous cells is a thin, flat cells lining inside of the lips and oral cavity. The Cancer that grows in this cell is called squamous cell carcinomas. Squamous cell carcinoma usually develops in areas of leukoplakia (white patches of cells that do not rub off). Treatment options for squamous cell carcinoma depends on the stage of cancer, size of tumor and location of the cancer (where it is in the lip or oral cavity), also whether the patient's appearance and ability to talk and eat can stay the same, as well as their age and general health. Patients with lip and oral cavity cancer should have their treatment planned by a team of doctors who are expert in treating head and neck cancer. Hello, I want to know about Proton therapy. Is it better and safer than other types of radiotherapy? Are there any side-effects of this therapy?
Proton therapy is more or less similar to radiation therapy, but its approach is more targeted. It delivers proton beams at cancer cells with better precision. Therefore the risk of damaging tissues around the tumor is lower than with standard radiation.
The treatment is suitable for cancers that involve tumors near sensitive parts of the body. But still consult Cancer Treatment doctors in Mumbai, or any other city, as it is finally treating clinician's decision to decide the best treatment for patient. Hope our answer helps you.

Good morning. On examination of the CT scan and the MRI they detected a thymoma, with a benign appearance. Do you think I should remove it or do a biopsy first? THANKS
Female | 65
First, a biopsy should be performed in order to confirm the diagnosis of thymoma. When the diagnosis is made, it should be surgically removed. See a thoracic surgeon to have correct diagnosis and management.

My uncle 67 years old had a surgery to remove colon cancer and one liver metastasis, the tumor tests are : mismatch repair proficient, her 2 +ve score 3+ , braf for v600e negative, what is next?
Male | 67
After the surgical removal of colon cancer and a liver metastasis, the next steps may involve targeted therapy, given the HER2-positive status, possibly with drugs like trastuzumab. Since the BRAF V600E mutation is negative, certain chemotherapy options may be effective. Your uncle's oncologist will tailor a treatment plan based on these findings, incorporating adjuvant chemotherapy and possibly targeted therapies. Regular follow-ups and open communication with the healthcare team will be essential for ongoing care and monitoring his response to treatment.
