I have eye problems like retina detached anything to do about it there? Because I want to travel
Male | 56
Are you seeing floaters, flashes, or a curtain across your vision? This may mean retinal detachment, where the retina separates from the eye. Aging and injuries can cause detachment, which harms sight if untreated. Surgery reattaches the retina, preventing permanent blindness. Visit an eye specialist.

I am 43years old woman. My physical apperance and looks like not to more than 28Yrs. I do lots of computer works too. From Last year onwards my vision starts getting low. e.g. if i read news paper i should give more strain to my eyes. I went to an optical shop and checked with them. They said i have to wear glass with points. Don't remember the points. still i use the same. But, when i remove glass the same has to day give over strain. Can you help me is this a major problem? or need more treatment?
Female | 43
This could be a case of eye strain caused by the computer and prolonged use of it. This can lead to symptoms such as blurred vision, headaches, and the inability to focus. The causal factor is usually the long screen time. To help, try taking breaks, adjusting your screen settings, and making sure to wear your glasses as prescribed. If the situation continues, it is better to consult an eye doctor for more examinations.

Should I study without astigmatism glasses because I don't have now . Plz tell. My exams preparation will be effected or not.
Male | 21
Are you studying? Make sure to wear your astigmatism glasses! Not wearing them can negatively affect your preparation. Astigmatism causes blurry vision and eye strain, leading to discomfort and headaches. Astigmatism occurs due to an irregular shape of the cornea or lens, but wearing glasses can correct blurry vision, helping you study more effectively.

What is this brown stuff coming from eue, looks like long strands of hair
Female | 63
You could have dacryolithiasis. Brown stuff from your eyes that looks like hair might mean your tears aren't draining well. Blocked tear ducts can cause irritation, redness, and even infection. Try warm compresses and gentle eyelid massages to help with drainage. If the problem persists, see an eye doctor for proper treatment.

I have experienced shaky vision in the top as well the left corner of my left eye. This has happened 4 times so far in a span of 6 months. the most recent being yesterday (11/18/2023). it starts of with a dark/ blind spot in the centre of my eye/ vision so I can see like the peripheries of stuff but not the middle. Kind of like when you stare at the sun or a bulb then you get a dark spot in your vision for a bit. this then transitions into shaky vision in the top and left hand corner of my left eye only. the best way I can describe it is like when you look at the ground on a hot day or the sand in a desert when heat is rising so things look all wavy. that's what it looks like. then this lasts for 10-15 minutes then it goes away. please note that I never have headaches or migraines ever during these episodes. do you have an idea of what this could be?
Female | 26
BASED ON your SYMPTOMS, it's possible that you are experiencing OCULAR MIGRAINES...However, it's IMPORTANT to consult an EYE DOCTOR for a proper DIAGNOSIS and TREATMENT PLAN...Ocular migraines are not HARMFUL, but ruling out other causes is CRUCIAL...

Hello! I am an almost 30 year old female and for the past week I have trouble looking/focusing far away or when looking upwards. I always get dizzy and have the constant feeling that me eyes and their surrounding area have become more heavy, out of the sudden, and push my eyes downwards. I dont see blury or have double vision, I just refrain from looking upwards of faw away because I feel instantly dizzy. No medical history, no drugs. Can you please give me an insight as to what is happening;
Female | 30
Vertical heterophoria might be the reason for your dizziness and the heavy feeling around your eyes. It’s a misalignment issue that doesn’t cause blurred or double vision. To fix it, visit an eye doctor who can provide you with special prism eyeglasses. These glasses realign your eyes and relieve the symptoms.

When I work out at the gym, my eye starts to swell after the workout. I consulted an eye specialist, who said it’s an allergy. However, when I jog or walk outside, nothing happens. In the gym, if I lift weights, even light ones, my eye starts to swell later. When I do floor exercises like push-ups, I feel like there's a foreign object in my eye, causing a twitching sensation. This only happens with exercises that involve pressure.looking like muscle weakness. It also happens after swimming. This issue never occurred before, and I’ve been doing these activities for the past four years without any problems. I have consulted various doctors and spent a lot of money, but I have not found a solution.
Male | 24
You might be having allergic reactions triggered by your exercise. When you do certain workouts at the gym, like lifting weights or floor exercises, your eye swells up. This could be due to allergens at the gym or materials from the equipment. It's good that outdoor activities don't cause this problem. To prevent the symptoms, try wearing protective eyewear (goggles) at the gym or using antihistamine eye drops before you work out. It's a good idea to consult with an allergist for a complete evaluation and management plan.

Hello i am 14 years old and i constantly see lightning in the corner of my eye?? im super stressed and i overreact easily
Male | 14
Seeing flashes of light or "lightning" in your peripheral vision can sometimes be a symptom of an eye related issue. However, stress and anxiety can also cause visual disturbances, including perceived flashes of light. Meantime it may be helpful to practice stress management techniques, such as deep breathing exercises, mindfulness or meditation. If this also doesn't help then visit an eye specialist to get it checked.

I have low vision and thin optic nerve Eye pain and headache
Male | Shivam Sharma
Low vision and a narrow optic nerve are hard to deal with. These problems could be causing the eye pain and headaches you’re having. Glaucoma or damage to the optic nerve can sometimes lead to such symptoms. Therefore you need to visit an ophthalmologist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

I am 19 years old and I have little bit pain in my eyes since 3 days ago. In the morning i washed my face with cold water and after that I'll get some relief but then again it stated pain in my eyes
Female | 19
Eye issues can be challenging, especially when you are young. At 19, eye pain may seem unusual, but there could be simple reasons behind it. One reason may be dry eyes from cold water exposure. Another could be eye strain from too much screen time. Staring at screens for long hours can make your eyes tired and sore. To take care of your eyes, take breaks from screens often. Look away every 20 minutes for 20 seconds. Blink frequently to keep your eyes lubricated. Use eye drops for dry eyes to keep them moist and comfortable. If the pain persists, visit an eye doctor. An eye specialist can examine your eyes, identify the root cause, and provide proper treatment to relieve discomfort and prevent further issues.

I am 15 years old and a few days my eyes color change in to red colour from 14 days and also some pain
Male | 15
There can be various reasons why eyes get red. One of them is allergies but also due to an infection or because they’re dry. In addition, if we stare at screens for too long our eyes may become sore and pinkish. Use some artificial tears and take frequent breaks from your electronic devices. If these symptoms persist then visit an eye specialist.

I have -7.5 eye sight In right eye and -3.75 eye sight in my left eye .am I eligible for pwd low vision category
Male | 24
Significant nearsightedness in both eyes is what you have in effect. This, though, can be a challenge, not the case for people who have disabilities, and may not necessarily be a reason for low vision. You may have symptoms such as blurry vision and struggle to see things at a distance. Genetic factors or eye shape can be some of the causes. Glasses or contact lenses can be used to correct the vision. Be sure to see an eye doctor for a thorough assessment and advice.

hi iam 19 years old and my eye power is near -4 ,[minus 4] so can i do lasik eye surgery , i just want to remove my specis im wearing from past 6 years that time eye power was nearly -1.5 , every time its increasing ,, please let me know
Male | 19
There have been a lot of changes in your eyes over the past few years. Being nearsighted is having a power of -4, which can occur when the eyeball is too long. When trying to see things that are far away, this may lead to cloudy vision. If you’re wondering if it’s right for you at this moment, consult an eye surgeon about LASIK surgery. Before deciding on anything, they must perform a thorough examination of your eyes so they know what’s changed.

I am 17 year old female. I noticed that I have a lump inside my eyelids on both eyes. It is painless, not swollen, it's colour is same as my skin colour. It's been for about 1 month and it is starting to get noticeable when I close my eyes.
Female | 17
You may have a common eye issue called a chalazion. A chalazion is a small lump in the eyelid. It happens when oil glands get blocked. Don't worry, chalazions often go away by themselves. Try warm compresses to help it heal faster. If it doesn't go away or gets bigger, see an eye doctor for treatment. Chalazions are not serious but can be annoying. The key is to be patient and keep doing the warm compresses. If it persists, an eye doctor can help with easy treatments.

You might notice changes in air pressure while flying after such a procedure. This could be uncomfortable or slow down the healing process. So, it’s better to postpone your trip until your eyes fully recover from surgery.

i have eye twitching from more than a week now and my eye size is reduced left upper eye lid
Female | 17
It sounds like you're having eye twitching and a smaller left upper eyelid. Eye twitching can happen due to stress, tiredness, or too much caffeine. A smaller eyelid might be a condition called ptosis. It can be caused by muscle weakness or nerve problems. Make sure to rest, reduce stress, and see an eye specialist for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
