I am suffering leg pain including knee due to my old age 63 , best possible treatment for relief. Please guide

Female | 63

As a medical expert, I suggest that you go to an orthopedist to examine your knee and leg. It is not unusual fat this age group to be hit by joint wear and tear. A orthopedic doctor will diagnose the actual reason for the pain, and will propose the most appropriate treatment, which may range from medications, physical therapy and surgery if needed.

my right leg/thigh/hip is bigger than the left What is wrong with me

Male | 20

If one leg/thigh/hip is bigger than the other, it might be because of a muscle imbalance. This means that one side is stronger than the other. You may develop this condition by constantly using your one leg when walking or doing physical exercises. To solve this problem, ensure workouts that will serve each side equally.

My sister met with and accident in oct 23, brain surgery (right side) was done and now her left hand (elbow joint) is not moving. Doctor said there is calcification in elbow joint. And surgery is also complicated. Physiotherapy also is not useful.

Female | 20

The calcification problem may occur when the elbow joint becomes the cause. The relative may have experienced either damage or inflammation and thus begins to notice a calcification disorder in the joint. The surgery may not be a simple one for sure. Always consult the doctors in charge of West to understand how to handle the treatment issues.

How to get rid of knee crepitus

Male | 36

Knee crepitus can be from multiple causes. Painless crepitus can be ignored. So, I won't advice for crepitus knee treatment as such.. Crepitus from knee cap problems can be cured with hip and knee strengthening. Crepitus from cartilage irregularities or loose pieces often need minor keyhole surgery. Painful crepitus from arthritis is initially treated with physical therapy and surgery when therapy stops helping.

I have had shoulder blade pain since 2 months. I consulted a orthopaedic. He examined and said I have a herniated disc and prescribed me some pain killers. Those painkillers donot work at all.I consulted other doctor. He too prescribed me pain killers. And told that if the pain doesn't heal they will have to perform a surgery. I want to know if I should consume pain killers or go ahead with the surgery. Or can you suggest me a way to heal the herniated disc.

Female | 18

If painkillers aren't working surgery may be necessary . .Also , physical therapy may help. Herniated discs can be caused by poor posture , obesity, or heavy lifting..... Strengthening core muscles can help prevent future herniation. But to conclude anything between medication or surgery, need to evaluate reports

Hi doctor. I had complete tear of ACL on September 2022 and underwent ACL reconstruction and lateral meniscus repair on October 2022 It was almost 6 months post op.. but i slightly neglected my rehabilitation and i used to do the exercises only once in a day when I used to meet my physiotherapist. Due to this i couldn't achieve complete extension and flexion. On one day my physiotherapist asked me lie down on my stomach and forceful ly pushed my knee to achieve beyond my comfort (i was able to achieve around 100 degree flexion ). From then i am having severe pain and i am unable to straighten my leg and also i am unable to stand straight. On consulting my surgeon.. without a much of physical examination he said it os just muscles spasm .. saying if any other complications were there my legs would have swollen.. since there was no swelling he concluded that it is spasm and adviced me to take Hifenac and take complete rest along with icing. The pain as subsidied alot but not completely. I am worried a lot..

Male | 20

Communicating your persistent symptoms to your healthcare team is important. In the meantime, stick to your rehabilitation plan, consider a second opinion if needed, and remain patient during your recovery as it can contribute to a better outcome for you.

I have slight tendonitis in entire arm. I had an angiogram 10 days ago. After forearm and swelling subsided in a day or two, my tendinitis ramped up in pain. It's very uncomfortable. Especially in the bicep... is is from traveling

Male | 65

Your arm probably doesn't feel good after the angiogram. The tendinitis flared up from the procedure. It causes aching in the bicep area. Try applying ice packs and stretching gently. Also, give your arm a break. Consult the medical team if pain continues. They performed the angiogram, so they'll advise you properly.
