My father is suffering from severe acidity and heartburn from last 7 months. now it is getting worse. he has nausea but he never vomits. he is 63 years old. He is a diabetic. but his blood sugar is under control. he is not willing to eat anything. he tried several antacids even Pan 80 but nothing works for him. he had antral gastritis before and he recovered from it in 2018. is it really serious? what is it? how the acidity will be cured? please help.
Considering you father's medical history of diabetes and past gastritis, its important to seek medical attention from a gastroenterologist for a thorough evaluation. The doctor may recommend tests to determine the underlying cause, such as GERD or gastritis.
Apart from medications lifestyle modifications, dietary adjustments, weight management, and stress reduction techniques can also help alot..

Side effects of bariartic surgery
Bariatric surgery can have both positive effects on health and potential side effects. The specific side effects can vary depending on the type of bariatric surgery performed, but here are some common ones:
Surgical risks: It includes infection, bleeding, blood clots, and adverse reactions to anesthesia.
Nutritional deficiencies:It impacts nutrient absorption and lead to deficiencies of iron, vitamin B12, calcium, and vitamin D. These deficiencies may require lifelong supplementation and close monitoring.
Dumping syndrome: Can occur after gastric bypass surgery, where food moves too quickly from the stomach to the small intestine. You may experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, and rapid heart rate after meals.
Gallstones: Rapid weight loss after bariatric surgery can increase the risk of developing gallstones.
Changes in bowel habits: Some individuals may experience changes in bowel movements like diarrhea or constipation, after bariatric surgery.
Hair loss: Temporary hair loss or thinning may occur due to nutritional deficiencies or rapid weight loss. This is usually temporary and can be managed with proper nutrition.
Psychological and emotional changes: Bariatric surgery can have a significant impact on body image, self-esteem, and emotional well-being. Some may experience depression, anxiety, or body image issues post-surgery.

Can hcg show positive on a pregnancy test strip while la m towards my menses??
Yes definitely it is possible for a pregnancy test to show a positive result while you are approaching your menstrual period. Pregnancy tests detect the presence of the hormone human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine, which is typically produced during pregnancy. You can confirm it with another test or urine pregnancy test.

Early signs of pregnancy after ovulation
Irregular or abnormal menstrual bleeding can occur due to many reason like hormonal imbalances, stress, changes in contraceptive methods, etc. It doesn't always mean that its about pregnancy. If you are concerned about the possibility of pregnancy, it's advisable to take a pregnancy test to get a clearer understanding of your situation.

When the contraceptive pill is taken correctly its effective in preventing pregnancy.. but there is still a small chance of pregnancy even if ejaculation doesn't occur inside the vagina. Take a test to confirm

I have been experiencing severe chest pain and already did an echocardiogram and nothing was found.
There can be various causes of chest pain that are unrelated to the heart. an echocardiogram can rule out certain heart-related issues but still its imp to further examine your case.
There can be various causes of a chest pain like musculoskeletal issues (such as muscle strain or inflammation), gastrointestinal problems (such as acid reflux or gastritis), anxiety or panic attacks, respiratory conditions, or even issues with the esophagus. Check with a gastroenterologist.

Sir i have been through testicular torsion surgery last week.. It has been around 8 days.. And today I have an urge to masturbate and i did it.. So is there any problem?
Generally after surgery, it's recommended to avoid any activities that can put strain or pressure on the surgical site to allow for proper healing. Engaging in sexual activities including masturbation could potentially impact the healing process, especially in the early stages of recovery. Consult your surgeon who performed the surgery for better guidance.

I am feeling sick it started with a headache then sickness and sore throat
It could be a common cold or flu. You need to rest, and stay hydrated.. If the still not feeling well, then check with your doctor, also consider pain relievers if prescribed. Other than that.. gargling with warm saltwater can help with the sore throat.
