Could Knife Wound Cause Tetanus After 14 Days?
If you are under 30 years old and your vaccines are up-to-date, you are at a lower risk for tetanus. Tetanus is caused by bacteria found in soil, dirt, or manure. People sometimes experience muscle stiffness, which can make swallowing difficult. Remember to check your immunization records.

Sharp pain near incision after hot tea, why?
This could be a case of surgical site infection. Usually, this happens after surgery where there is an incision made thereby causing redness as well as swelling around where you were cut. It might help if you keep that place dry after cleaning it every once in a while but try not to touch too much or else there might be more pain. Make sure to visit your doctor so they can figure out what else needs to be done about this.

how to sit after hysterectomy?
- High sitting in bed position:
- The best position, but avoid sitting in this position for extended periods after hospital discharge.
- Because it increases pressure on the spinal curves of your lower back, thus making it prone to injury.
- Sleeping Wedge position:
- If your upper body needs to be elevated when sleeping or resting, then this alternative might help. It can increase comfort and reduce lower back pressure.
- Tips:
- Don't sit in one place for longer than 1-2 hours.
- Spend more time lying down than sitting or standing. But the remaining time you should divide between walking and sitting.
- Your body posture especially matters when sitting on the toilet so as to avoid constipation after hysterectomy.
If you recently had this operation, get in touch with your doctor right away.

Am I infecting my incision after appendix surgery?
If you notice any fluids leaking from it, this could mean there’s an infection. Other signs of infection may be redness, warmth, swelling, and pain around the area where the incision was made. Usually infections are caused by bacteria. It’s crucial that you get in touch with your surgeons as soon as possible so that they could adjust your drugs or give you additional treatment if necessary.

household chores after hysterectomy?
- Household chores you can perform:
- Folding & ironing clothes (that are not too big or too many).
- Washing dishes (lesser & smaller the utensils, better it is for your recovery)
- Making easy-to-cook food (which doesn't require heavy utensils).
- Dusting & making the bed ( not fluffing blankets but just straightening it out).
- Disclaimer:
- Give yourself a complete rest for 3 to 5 days after discharge, before you start executing the duties mentioned above.
- Even if you wait for the recommended period, don't do these activities if they exert too much pressure or cause pain.
- Tips:
- Divide your job into smaller parts and frequently take breaks.
- You can sit while preparing food or sorting laundry.
- Household chores to avoid:
- For the initial one or two weeks, you should only consider lifting light objects such as a one-litre bottle of water, kettles, or small saucepans (anything up to 8 lbs).
- Don't vacuum, shop, or lift children.
- Disclaimer: Depending on the kind of hysterectomy procedure you opt for, there will always be some variation in what kind of duties you will be able to perform, so your surgeon would have a more accurate answer for this

What drink after finger laceration to avoid blood thinning?
If you cut your finger and it bleeds a little bit, the best thing to do is drink small sips of water. Don’t worry too much—this will not greatly thin your blood. It will keep you hydrated and aid in recovery for the body. If you start feeling faint or dizzy, take a seat for some time while elevating your legs so that blood can return flowing towards the brain.

Dog Bite: What Should I Do Now?
When you have a dog bite, the area may hurt, swell, and turn red which could also bleed occasionally. Clean the wound softly with clean water and mild soap because it’s important after which you apply some antibiotic ointment or cream then cover with a dry sterile cloth or adhesive bandages. Make sure you visit a doctor for some checkups to ensure everything is okay since there might be more treatment needed like a tetanus shot among others.

For a year now, I've had a flattened bump on my under arm. It first started out as a blackhead, so I popped it. After that it stayed for several months. I tried to pop it still several times but it was to painful. When I finally popped it, a brown, rock solid nugget popped out of it. Now, it has flattened down but is still purple-ish, giving the impression of being bruised, and still looks as if there is something still inside. What is it?
Looks like a Sebaceous cyst.
These cysts have to be removed surgically as if their wall is not removed, they recur.
Surgery for cyst removal is done under local anesthesia.
It gives a permanent solution.
