My husband is diabetic and has high cholesterol and is taking medicines for both. He has central obesity. His recent echo showed diastolic dysfunction. Left ventricle edv is 58 ml and esv is 18 ml. May I know whether he has coronary artery disease. He also has leg weakness when lying down. And has chronic cough which is mild. He has family history of heart disease. Latest cbc showed mpv 12.8. Crp 9, esr 15mm/hr.
It would be advisable for him to consult with a cardiologist. Given his medical history and a family history of heart disease, he needs proper evaluation and treatment.

I have pain in my chest but x-ray and blood test, and mucus test are okay. What can happen to me?
Experiencing chest pain despite normal X-rays, blood tests, and mucus tests can have several possible explanations. It might be related to musculoskeletal issues, anxiety, acid reflux, or other respiratory conditions not easily detected by these initial tests. If the pain is related to heart issues, a cardiologist may be recommended for a more specialized evaluation.

Should someone be concerned if their doctor states in their file after an echocardiogram that "a left superior vena cava is not present"? Is this a good or bad thing?
The absence of a left superior vena cava is a rare anatomical variation where the vein is not located in its usual position. It is generally considered a normal variant and not inherently good or bad. While it usually doesn't cause health issues, it can bring challenges during certain medical procedures.

Had heart attack .main artery blocked 100% procedure done .stent implanted
Ok. Actually the procedure helps open the blocked artery and prevent future blockages. After cardiac rehabilitation and lifestyle changes are normally recommended to take care of heart health and reduce the risk of heart issues in future. Still consult your cardiologist for personalized advice.

A 4.4 cm ascending aorta measurement might be within normal limits. Your doctor has reassured you that there are no restrictions or aneurysm concerns. If you're still uncertain, discuss your diagnosis and seek a second opinion from an experienced cardiologist.. that could provide more clarity.
