Do I still have scabies with red spots?

Patient's Query

I am a 22 year old with suspected scabies. Have tried permethrin cream, malathion lotion and oral ivermectin. Have been very thorough with the instructions, however am still itchy and now red spots are appearing as opposed to the skin coloured burrows that I previously had. Do i still have scabies or something else?

Answered by Dr. Ishmeet Kaur

It does not look like the scabies treatment has worked as it should. So you still have a rash and itching. Scabies can be quite challenging to remove completely at times. New red spots can mean a few things, such as a reaction to the treatment or another skin condition. To check it out, it is better to talk to the dermatologist for a deeper investigation as well as to discuss other possible treatments.

It is advisable to see a dermatologist for a rash on your penis. They focus on diagnosing and treating skin diseases. I suggest going to a doctor to find out the cause of a rash and receive effective treatment.

The signs you are experiencing e.g. Redness, itching, and rashes may be due to various reasons. This could be because of your allergies, stress, weather changes, or some products that could be irritants to your skin. To solve this, you can use gentle skincare products, stop the triggers you might think are causing the issue, and regularly wash and hydrate your skin.

Hello. Roughly one month ago I purchased a home wart removal kit to remove what appeared to be a benign wart on the back of my knee. The nozzle on this device broke during use, spraying an area roughly two inches in diameter on my skin with dimethyl ether. This caused a small superficial frostbite/burn, but didn't take care of the wart so I used another kit afterwards which used a swab rather than a nozzle. After using both of these, the area blistered. This blister quickly popped and fell off on its own after just a day, leaving an area of incredibly raw and bloody skin. I applied neosporin to this area regularly and kept it clean allowing it to heal. It's been a month now and while this area isn't entirely healed, it has protective skin on it now. My issue here is the area has a blotchy dark coloration now, looking almost like bruising. This seems odd to me given that it's been a month now, should I be worried about this coloration? There is no pain at the site, though the skin there is quite thin and rough.

Its natural to experience discoloration in skin especially after a blister or wound has occurred. color changes during the healing process. It could be due to hyperpigmentation which is the increased production of melanin in that area. This can result in a bruise-like appearance.

Red rases in my face nd it’s itching. And itching in my scalp nd hair white issue

Male | 24

It seems that dandruff might be one of the conditions. The main symptom of dandruff is itching, and white particles of skin can be seen on hair. Sometimes, this condition might also produce red patches on the face, especially around the hairline area. The pathogen fungi on your scalp cause dandruff. For example, choose a shampoo that is specifically designed for dandruff. In particular, washing hair regularly along with the stress management procedure may also be beneficial for you.

Due to Heavy Sun light , face feeling Burning

Male | 22

Your face might seem burnt from too much exposure to the sun, and this can be very uncomfortable. This occurs when the skin gets too much sun without protection. Symptoms can be redness, pain, and maybe blistering. Immediately get into the shade for relief, apply a cool compress, and use aloe vera gel to soothe. Wear sunscreen in future to avoid a repeat of the same.
