I am sriram and im 19 years old and my hair is thinning and falling day by day gradually and now i can slightly see my scalp in front. what can i do for it sir

Answered by Samruddhi Bhartiya

You can try Minoxidil, it is an over the counter drug which comes in the following forms: liquid, foam or shampoo. You have to apply it on scalp twice regularly. It will take months for you to determine if any difference did take place or not, and if it does then you can continue using it. Possible side effects however are scalp irritation along with growth of hair on unwanted places such as adjacent skin of the face and/or hands. If this doesn't work then dermatologists would have stronger prescriptions & better lifestyle fixes for you to follow, and they may eventually suggest hair transplant surgery, but that is if your hair fall causes balding. I have a dry skin, for which the doctor had suggested Zydip lotion having Beclometasonen in it. I am using it regularly with body moisturizer. Can i use it regularly or not?

Male | 23

There are various causes of dry skin including weather conditions, age and certain skin disorders. This can lead to symptoms such as itching, redness or rough patches. Beclometasone contained in Zydip lotion works by reducing inflammation as well as itching. The medicine should be applied along with a skin moisturizer although the frequency of use will depend on what your doctor tells you.

I'm having dandruff from last 10 years. Tried many Doctors, medicines & home remedies but still having the same problem. Looking for a good medicine to cure this problem.

Male | 26

There are a few products available to help with dandruff. Better to use those that contain selenium sulfide, zinc pyrithione, or ketoconazole. These ingredients are known to help reduce dandruff. Avoid styling products that contain alcohol, as these can dry out and irritate the scalp. Talk to your doctor about any underlying conditions it could be a sign of an infection or other medical condition.

I pinched the tip of my penis head and I got a mild hematoma. How do I treat it?

Male | 29

I recommend that you see an urologist promptly for appropriate assessment and diagnosis of the true nature of your condition. Do not use any home treatment since it may worsen the hematoma.

I need some help not sure what to do. Not so long ago I noticed some wierd looking lines on my lower back, I figured it might be from the seats at school as they have pretty sharp wooden supports that when leaned on might make dents like that. But it has been a couple of weeks and these marks are not going away. Not I'm not so sure if it is the seats cause that would normally be gone In a couple days. If I could compare it to anything they are horizontal lines some longer some shorter, a couple of them and (it might sound a little bizarre) but they look somewhat like stab wound scars or something similar, atlast from my point of view.

It is advised to see a dermatologist who will inspect the site and give a prescribed diagnosis. They may also give treatments options that can be used to lessen the lines visibility.

I am a boy and I am 22 years old. I have a lot of itching under and around my penis. More this summer. Been using Ringguard for a long time. When I use the ointment it goes away. If left out it itches again. Tell me how to get rid of it

Male | 22

You may have jock itch, a fungal infection. Itching around the penis is a symptom. It grows in warm, moist areas, so summer can cause it. Ringguard helps, but it may return. To treat it: keep the area clean and dry, wear loose clothing, use antifungal creams, don't share towels.

I have a 14 year old daughter who has a had a itchy raised red puffy bump on her left shoulder the last two days. It happened in the middle of her basketball game. It has gotten worse from her bra strap and shirt rubbing against it. I want to know what it is and how to fix this mystery.

Female | 14

Looks like your daughter has a skin irritation that is contact dermatitis. One common type is contact dermatitis, which is caused by something rubbing against the skin and triggering redness, itching, and swelling. This thing might be her bra strap or shirt, which is the cause of the rash on her skin when it rubs against it while she is playing basketball, To make her feel better, try to use a soothing lotion or cream and let her put on clothes that are not tight enough to prevent rubbing as much as possible.
