My kid is 14years and he getting pimples all over the face and some on the head as well. Can you please suggest for better treatment for this

Answered by Dr. Anju Methil

The acne could be due to hormonal changes in the body

You can start by using a benzoyl peroxide facewash. Depending on the stage of acne whether more of comedones or white heads or black heads or pus filled acne a medical line of treatment can be started. Topical application of clindamycin and adaphelene can be given .However these need to be given under the supervision of a dermatologist. Male | 15

Your rabies vaccine was completed last May, so you’re protected from getting infected by it. However, if a cat bit you today, watch out for any fever, headache or weakness that is abnormal. Seek medical attention immediately should you see any of these symptoms.

Can you wear acrylics nails for a tonsillectomy

Female | 15

Acrylic nails aren't recommended before tonsillectomy surgery. Those fake nails could harbor germs, making hand hygiene tricky. During tonsillectomy, doctors remove tonsils, often due to infections or breathing issues. Clean hands prevent surgical site infections, so natural nails are only for this procedure. Wait until you've recovered fully before getting acrylics again.

How to glow my skin and face?

To ensure healthy and shining skin, it is imperative to establish a consistent and appropriate skincare regimen. Use a mild face wash to cleanse; moisturizing regularly, and using sunscreen to safeguard from sunburns are also important. Using a scrub at least once/twice a week or a face mask would be nice. I am using skinshine cream for last 4 years. I dont have any side effects till now. But when i came to know the side effects of using this i decided to stop using this. So how i can safely stop this without more sideeffects

Female | 27

I get why you're worried about stopping Skinshine cream after 4 years. Being careful about side effects makes sense. When you quit, your skin might get red, itchy, or dry. That happens because it got used to the cream. To avoid more problems, try using it less over time. First, use it every other day. Then every two days. Keep doing that until you stop. Going slowly like this can let your skin adjust without too much trouble. Also, moisturize lots during this change to keep your skin healthy.
