How to treat acute lower back pain

Hi, I just got my results back from a lumbar MRI and it says I have buldging associated with anular tear discs L4 and L5. And deshidrated discs L4 and L5. What does this mean? Will I get better without surgery? Will I ever get back to normal? Will I ever be able to go back to the gym and cycling? Right now I feel tight and Im in pain no matter the position, it's hard to do normal day activities and to walk kinda long distances, I can't lift anything not even light things and can't bend forward. I WILL take the results to the doctor once I get my paycheck but I wanna get a 2nd opinion in the meantime. Thanks

Laminectomy and Discordectomy + l4-5 fixation with decompression of cord. Pre op my problem was being unable to stand and drive for more than 15 mins after that, I feel burning sensation in my left leg. Post op after 2 months, the situation is worse.
