Questions & Answers on "Psychotherapy For Couples" (291)

I was wondering if I might have something such as DID, as I have been experiencing some symptoms. 1: I have auditory hallucinatons from time to time, like people talking, or whispering my name. 2: I cannot remeber most of my childhood at all. 3: I also talk to myself a lot, like I am a different person. 4: I have visual hallucinations sometimes, like shadows in the corner of my eye 5: Also have trouble focusing sometimes 6: very impulsive sometimes 7: I also daydream alot, and usually for 30 minutes + I and my sister was verbally abused from 2016 to 2022. It stopped in 2022 because I pointed it out. My ‘alters’ aren’t so complicated they are just different aspects of myself really. Most of the time to the extreme though. Like one is me but angry, sad, etc. Once I had a bit of a dissociative fugue, when I kind of just fazed out on the bus and I came to, on the bus but at a different point in the road, and I had no memory of what had happened.

Based on the symptoms, your problem may be Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Consulting with an experienced psychiatrist or clinical psychologist, especially in the field of DID, is crucial in diagnosing and planning personalized treatment.

I am 23 years old and my mood swings very quickly, sometimes I feel like I should go far away by leaving from everything but I can't do that and most of the time I'm being in sorrow and I'm not interested in anything I don't know why I'm feeling like this. Please tell me any solution for this and I would like to know my mental status.
