Patient's Query

•Diffuse hypermetabolic FDG uptake seen over axial
and appendicular skeleton with no CT changes, likely
proliferative for CBC • Enlarged spleen (19,4 cm) with ause hypermetabolic FDG uptake of SUVmax~3.5. •FDG avid descending colon mural wall thickening reaching~9 mm thick with SUVmax~2.6. What does this mean in a leukemia case? is the case in late stages?

Answered by Dr. Ganesh Nagarajan

Leukemia causes lots of cell activity in bones, spleen, and colon. The words show leukemia spread to these body parts. Enlarged spleen and colon thickening are signs. It's critical to discuss findings with healthcare team. This allows planning best treatment.

When you have adenocarcinoma, you must stick to the treatment plan your doctor gives you. Chemotherapy is used often for treating this type of cancer. Just try to follow the treatment schedule, eat well, and get enough rest.

Can we give blood after 1 week of gfc treatment

Male | 21

You need to wait before giving blood after GFC treatment. Your body requires time to recover; it lost cells during the procedure. Don't give blood too soon - at least one week is best. That lets your body rebuild the blood cells affected by treatment. Donating blood earlier could make you tired or dizzy. Wait a week to be safe after GFC.

Galeme cancer hai usaka aurvedic upchar ho sakta hai kya

Male | 65

Ayurvedic medicine has been used to treat various conditions but it may not be suitable for all health issues. If someone is diagnosed with throat cancer.. conventional cancer treatments such as surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy have been proven effective in many cases. So consult an oncologist for proper cancer treatment and evaluation.

Hello Sir, my mother was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer (parotid gland cancer) on 28th. It is in an advanced stage. She's 69, and on blood thinners. She is really scared and asked me to get a second opinion. Kindly refer someone who can help us through this condition.

We need to check few more details. Whether surgery done or not? Generally, surgery remains 1st step and on safe hands the age mentioned is really no an adverse factor.
