How to get rid of knee crepitus

Male | 36

Knee crepitus can be from multiple causes. Painless crepitus can be ignored. So, I won't advice for crepitus knee treatment as such.. Crepitus from knee cap problems can be cured with hip and knee strengthening. Crepitus from cartilage irregularities or loose pieces often need minor keyhole surgery. Painful crepitus from arthritis is initially treated with physical therapy and surgery when therapy stops helping.

What is the best treatment for a compression fracture

Female | 37

A compression fracture i.e. a vertebral compression fracture is characterized by back pain
- patients are advised analgesic drugs, take rest wear brace.
- Acupuncture combined with medications produced positive outcomes in such patients which includes pain reduction, improved daily living activities of a patient.
Acupuncture analgesic points help in alleviating pain to a great extent. Local back points and the corresponding acupuncture points help to relax a patient to a great extent.
- Acupuncture helps in improving bone strength, bone metabolism, bone mineral density.
Regular acupuncture sessions improves the quality of life of patients with compressed fracture.
Acupuncture sessions would be regular initially but can be reduced as per patients response and a scan after 3 months would be advised to discuss further course of action.

Knee burning pain can have various causes. Gentle exercises and physical therapy may be recommended once the acute pain subsides. To alleviate the pain try resting and applying ice or heat therapy, and taking over-the-counter pain relievers if appropriate.

My child spine bend in born.it will cure by belt/

Male | 12

Your child could have congenital scoliosis - a curved spine. This happens due to abnormal growth before birth. Symptoms are uneven shoulders, or hips. In some cases, a brace helps. But surgery may be needed if the curve is severe. Make sure to see a pediatric orthopedic specialist. They'll discuss the best treatment options for your child's spine.

I've been having severe back pains for the past 3 days and its getting worse by the day.

It is advisable to see an orthopedist for severe long term back pain. The diagnosis and choosing the correct treatment is only possible by a doctor after the tests and examination are conducted.

My father is diabetic and takes insulin every day. For the past few months, he has been unable to walk for more than a few minutes. He has no problem standing for long while traveling in buses or walking up and down stairs. He has no knee pain but feels cramps in his calf muscles whenever he starts walking for more than 2 minutes. Around 3 years ago, he also lost a lot of weight and has never gained it back. He is 5.7ft and weighs less than 50 kgs. Is an orthopedic the right specialist to visit for treatment? What could be the causes behind his symptoms and how can they be treated? Does he need physiotherapy?

Male | 57

Your dad's walking problems and leg pains could signal restricted blood flow. This condition, peripheral artery disease, makes walking hard. Your dad losing weight and unable to walk well is worrying. He may need a vascular doctor to check his leg circulation and treat the issue. Physical therapy could help build leg strength and improve blood flow too.

Is the presence of fluid in the knee two years post knee replacement a cause for concern?

Male | 45

a fluid in the knee is something to worry about because it might be an infection or loosening of an implant. A visit to an orthopedic specialist is necessary so that the condition can be evaluated and suitable treatment advised. In some cases, postponing treatment may result in additional complications that will require more aggressive procedures.

What can I give an elderly man of 86 years For arthritis.

Male | 86

Its advisable to get proper diagnosis and treatment from an orthopedic. General approaches can be used like medications/ pain relievers or anti inflammatory drugs, physical therapy to improve joint mobility, hot and cold therapy for pain relief etc. Also maintaining a healthy weight, regular exercise, and a balanced diet may also be beneficial.
