What are the treatment options and their costs for Gallbladder Cancer treatment in India?

My mother suffering gallbladder cancer and it is in an advanced stage. Chemotherapy is going in Bangladesh and I want to treatment in India. In this stage can I continue chemotherapy until I get treatment in India. Please provide me with the best hospital and treatment cost. Is it recovered?

Hello Mehedi! If it is what your doctor has said, then you should continue with your mother's chemotherapy till she comes to India. Judging from what you have written and the line of treatment adopted, I assume that the gall bladder cancer is unresectable. So in this case Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy or both can be used.

Factors effecting the cost -
In case of Chemotherapy, you might already know that Chemotherapy cost depends on the drugs and the number of cycles the drug is administered. In case of Radiation Therapy the cost depends on the number of sittings. Overall, both these treatments will be comparatively at a lesser price in a Government Hospital but with the issue of being in a waiting list for treatment.

Chemotherapy - Government Hospital - 200 USD to 500 USD ( 14,300 INR to 35600 INR. Private Hospital - 1200 USD - 1500 USD ( 85,300 INR - 107,000 INR )

Some of the signs and symptoms of colon cancer are:

Rectal bleeding or blood in stool
Persistent abdominal discomfort, cramps, gas or pain
A feeling that bowel doesn't empty completely, fullness feeling
Weakness or physical fatigue
Weight loss

We need to check few more details. Whether surgery done or not? Generally, surgery remains 1st step and on safe hands the age mentioned is really no an adverse factor.

I was diagnosed with lung melanoma 6 months ago. Doctor gave three suggestions immunotherapy, radiotherapy or just asked to wait for three months and then do a PET scan again. Stage II cancer means cancer has not yet spread outside of prostrate but is large. Treatment depends on age of patient, his general condition mainly. Radical prostatectomy is done and if during surgery it is found that cancer has spread or if few months after surgery PSA has increased, then external beam radiation is considered. Either solely external beam radiation, or brachytherapy, or both are considered depending on patient's condition and cancer stage. Three years back I was diagnosed with Colon cancer and treated for that. I was cancer-free after the treatment. But recently, I had to do a CT scan for a non-cancer purpose and then the doctor said there is a spot. So he asked me to have some other tests. Then one tumor was discovered during the PET scan, it's a new one. It's a particularly aggressive malignancy, and I'm losing a significant portion of my liver.
