Sir My Sister have Metastasis cancer. Please guide me for the treatment.
Metastasized means that cancer has spread from one region to another, but there's no clarity regarding which area was affected and which region it has metastasized to.
For the area where cancer originally developed, she will require surgery & radiation therapy.
Whereas, for the area to which the cancer spread, she will additionally need chemotherapy, hormone therapy and immunotherapy.
To learn about these options in-depth, we recommend giving our blog a read - Cancer Treatment.

My name is Pratima. Just a few days back my grandmother was diagnosed with colon cancer treatment (1st stage). She is 75 now. As she is quite aged, is there any chance of growing again? Or is there any life risk even post operation? As she is quite aged we are really worried. Please help.
Surgery is to be done to get the disease out of body and prevent it's spread elsewhere in body. There is always a chance of spread of disease in Colon cancer, so regular follow ups with oncologist are very important to check any spread. Age factor does matter in case of recovery post surgery. General condition of the body matters alot for proper recovery post surgery.

Hello Sir, I am from Ludhiana. My masi had gone through breast cancer operation and chemotherapy quite a few years (7 years) back from Apollo hospital, Chennai. Since then she often falls sick (feels weak, drowsy throughout the day, bad taste) all of a sudden once in 4-6 months and then again normal. We did many tests but nothing was diagnosed and there was no sign of cancer. We want to know if it is an after effect of chemotherapy and guide how to go through with this. She is now 56.
Yes some side effects of chemotherapy following breast surgery are weakness, drowsiness and altered taste. Proper nutrition and sufficient fluid intake is of utmost importance. You need to visit oncologist for any medication for that will help her in minimizing the side effects.

My father had to go through prostate gland surgery two times. First time in 2016 in Siliguri and 2nd one is from Amri Hospital, Mukundapur, Kolkata in 2021. Both the biopsy reports came negative. But the doctor said it might happen again. My question is if we had to operate another time, would it be cancerous?
Many a time prostate gland increases in size without any cancerous component called as Benign prostate hypertrophy which occurs due to age factor. Every time the surgery is done, some tissue is always sent for histopathological investigation which shows whether the disease is cancerous or not.
After any cancer surgery and chemotherapy sessions it is mandatory to have regular follow up visits with an oncologist to check any signs of disease. There are many side effects of surgery and chemotherapy which also has to be dealt with, that is the reason why even though cancer free but regular follow up is mandatory.

My wife has gone through stage 2nd Stage of breast cancer in 2019 and operated on the right breast. Then went through 12 cycles of chemotherapy. According to the reports, Doctors said she is now cancer free. But we are very confused as we are asked to visit hospital every year for check ups. We are in a dilemma now. She is still very weak and has not overcome the hassle yet. Is there any chance of regrowing cancer? Is that what the doctor suspected and asked for a checkup every year?
Even after complete treatment of cancer there is remote chance of recurrence or cancer coming back . This is the reason that patient has to be on regular check up with oncologist to detect any recurrence early.

My aunt got a tumor in the kidney in 2014 and found cancer. She was 35 at that time. Since then, she has been surviving with only the right kidney. She is a diabetic patient too. Last month diagnosed with some abnormality on her other kidney too. Though it was nothing severe and was treated with medicine. But we are worried that if the other kidney also gets affected, what are her survival chances?
Having only one kidney does not affect the quality of life to a very high extent, but any disease or disorder of the remaining kidney can be fatal and will require immediate treatment. The most important thing is such a scenario is regular follow ups with nephrologist and routine investigations such as blood tests and ultrasonography tests. This improves and also increases the chances of survivals.

I'm 52 years old and have stopped periods since December 2019. Three years ago, I had left breast pain. I consulted a clinic and everything turned out well after mammograms and other procedures. Now after three years I'm still getting the pain and some discomfort in the left breast. I spoke with my usual doctor, but she advised me to visit a breast clinic. She believes it is hormonal but just wants to ensure. Is it possible that this type of breast pain is caused by cancer? I am pretty anxious now and searching on google made me more restless. Is it common in women or something terrible?
Post menopause (after periods) in females may cause many hormonal imbalances which cause pain in breasts, pain in stomach and some discomfort. But a regular check up of breast, PAP smears and ultrasonography investigations at regular intervals is mandatory to check and catch any disorder or disease in early stage. Only after a thorough investigation we can rule out and cancers. For more information you can visit nearest oncologist.

Hello sir my name is sujit I have salivary gland tumors in my mouth. My pain is terrible.I am not diagnosed whether it's benign or malignant. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
For the tumors of the salivary glands in the mouth first most important study is to have a biopsy and radiographic investigations such as MRI to assess the nature of the disease whether Benign or Malignant. So Visit oncologist with your biopsy and MRI for the exact nature of the tumor.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer four months ago. Doctors initially assumed it was bone cancer, but after the pathology report came, we came to know that it's stage 4 kidney cancer. Some of our known people suggested immunotherapy as chemotherapy doesn't go for kidney cancer. We want an expert opinion on whether this is true and in that case what we should do now.
In case of Cancer involving Kidneys and has spread to other parts of body requires chemotherapy or immunotherapy. The exact plan for treatment can be decided after studying the involvement of disease and its effects on the normal functioning of the body. So if you can share all your reports with oncologist near you. He will be able to guide you towards the exact treatment plan.

Hello, I'm a 22 year old recently visited a breast clinic in Bhopal. It's almost a month now I am having breast pain, swelling, and my left nipple was inverted more than usual. After the ultrasound I was just given a leaflet about fibroadenoma and she didn't explain. My left nipple has become much more inverted and sunken in and it takes a long time to emerge. Is this something that happens with cancer? I've been worried for months now that this could be cancer even though my doctor didn't seem concerned that it was. Because I am quite young and have no such family history of cancer maybe she overlooked the situation.
Swelling or lump in breast, inverted nipple, pain in breast and lumps in axilla should always be checked thoroughly. These are very common signs which can be seen in Fibroadenoma and also early stage breast cancers. Regular Mammography and biopsy is very important to assess the exact nature of disease. So we would suggest you to undergo a biopsy and visit oncologist to know the exact nature of swelling and it's treatment plan.
