Hello, I'm 48 yrs old male, diagnosed with AML in August 2020, underwent intense chemo. Achieved remission after cycle1. After 4 cycles of chemo in april 2021, I was advised to take preventive chemo thats milder (Azacitidine for 12 cycles). This chemo started in May 2021 until Nov 2022. Hello Sir, I am from Ludhiana. My masi had gone through breast cancer operation and chemotherapy quite a few years (7 years) back from Apollo hospital, Chennai. Since then she often falls sick (feels weak, drowsy throughout the day, bad taste) all of a sudden once in 4-6 months and then again normal. We did many tests but nothing was diagnosed and there was no sign of cancer. We want to know if it is an after effect of chemotherapy and guide how to go through with this. She is now 56.

Yes some side effects of chemotherapy following breast surgery are weakness, drowsiness and altered taste. Proper nutrition and sufficient fluid intake is of utmost importance. You need to visit oncologist for any medication for that will help her in minimizing the side effects.
